Flaktower
The Flaktower level was our vertical slice production milestone, so it was the first level to have a final art pass. I researched reference images and created moodboards for the Flaktower and factory buildings which you fight your way through to get to the tower.
Starting from the level designer's whitebox, I built and textured the exterior environment while a coworker made the Flaktower interior.
We outsourced the majority of the props and I was in charge of planning what we needed for the level. I created instruction documents and gave the outsourcers feedback. The final polish was done by another artist as I was needed elsewhere. I enjoyed creating the heavy industrial look of a 1930's factory, and the large brewery room.
